What is osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a primary healthcare profession. It is a complementary system of examination, diagnosis and treatment.

Osteopaths are trained to look at the body as a whole, as part of one integral unit. We aim to treat the primary underlying cause of the problem and not just the symptoms that may occur as a result.

Some key principles we work by are:

  1. BulletThe body is a self healing mechanism

  2. BulletStructure and function are interrelated

  3. BulletMovement of fluid is key to maintain health

The osteopathic approach can be used to treat babies, children, teenagers, adults and seniors.
